Sarah Sanchez

Sarah advises clients across the entertainment, media, and creative industries on a broad range of transactional, business affairs, and commercial matters. She represents podcast studios, film, television, and commercial production companies, theater producers, brands, content creators, artists, and live event companies as they develop, produce, distribute, license, and monetize content, experiences, and intellectual property.
Whether serving as production counsel or helping clients structure and negotiate the deals that bring creative projects to life, Sarah approaches every matter with an understanding that creative works are both artistic endeavors and businesses. Her practice is grounded in helping clients protect what they create while building sustainable, long-term opportunities around it. What draws Sarah to this work is a lifelong connection to the creative world. Before becoming a lawyer, she spent years as a competitive figure skater and has remained deeply involved in the arts as a pianist, songwriter, dancer, and visual artist. That experience informs the way she advises clients and gives her a practical understanding of the creative, business, and legal considerations that shape her clients’ work.
Prior to joining Klaris, Sarah advised clients on a wide range of commercial and entertainment-related matters across firms in Madrid, Berlin, and New York. Admitted to practice in both New York and Spain, she brings an international perspective to her work and regularly assists clients whose businesses, rights, and creative projects cross borders.
Sarah earned an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law from Fordham University School of Law, a Master’s Degree in Law from the International University of Valencia, and a dual degree in Law and Business Administration from IE University. She also serves as a Capstone Thesis Supervisor at IE University, where she mentors graduate students on projects involving entertainment, media, intellectual property, and technology law.
Outside of her practice, Sarah can often be found at a dance studio, attending live performances, or hosting themed gatherings for friends and family. She divides her time between New York and Europe whenever possible and enjoys exploring the ways creative expression connects people across cultures and industries.
